Valentines Day is but a few more days to go, I've got my eyes on a couple of "dates". Top on my list is the Valentine Buffet of Annabel's @ Tomas Morato , next is the 6 Course Valentine Dinner @ Illustrado in Intramuros & last would be the Private Yacht Dinner Cruise @ MOA. It's a 3 hour cruise with buffet dinner. Unfortunately I'm not really sure if were going, my husband is working late nights ... if only. Well, I can dream, can't I (fingers crossed) .

Top 10 of everything . . . for my reading pleasure today, July 31, 2011

It's been raining for the past 3 days now, there are news of a super typhoon brewing, despite my strong desire to go to the mall, my hubby strongly refused me & said were staying at home. Sad, so i pick up my laptop & started my pleasure reading. I google searched TOP 10 MYTHS & found great stuff! TOP 10 Vampire Mythss, a site showing the TIMELINE of vampires & zombies dating back to 5000BC. With names & dates - VAMPIRES & ZOMBIES ARE REAL! Then I got to Mythical Creatures, nothing fascinating, we've seen most of them in movies already. Then I remembered my "Curious" reading the other night bout the Top10 Serial killers (hahaha my hubby found this real sick & weird, but hey I was curious) I found out that most of them were Pedophiles! It's so sick, most of them liked young boys! I also checked out SHERLOCK HOMES & found out he's fictional, which is a surprise since JACK THE RIPPER was real! Then came the contoversial issue on how our national hero JOSE RIZAL is Jack the Ripper! Read thru a forum giving evidences saying he is. And violent reactions of people saying he's not. Good Reading stuff! In the Top 10 WORLD Mythical Creatures, the philippines got 2 spots! The Mananaggal & the Enkantado! Go Pinoy!

Whole grain bread Elena Kashkaval cheese, sliced thick tomato slices, white onion slices Turkey Bacon (optional!!) Green onions cut up - could not have asked for tastier breakfast!!!

Healthy & Delicious Grilled Pineapple

a special way to have your eggs

6 hard-cooked eggs, peeled and cut lengthwise ¼ cup Light Mayonnaise or Salad Dressing ½ teaspoon dry ground mustard ½ teaspoon white vinegar 1/8 teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper Paprika for garnish Pop out (remove) the egg yolks to a small bowl and mash with a fork. Add mayonnaise, mustard powder, vinegar, salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Fill the empty egg white shells with the mixture and sprinkle lightly with paprika. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to one day before serving.

Simple Dinners

These easy kid-pleasers keep the whole family happy.

Get the Menus

from boring rice to surprise rice

simple fried rice w/ ham to get our kids attention

something sweet for snack, this will leave you smiling till dinner

Ingredients: 4 eggs 1 teaspoon sugar, optional 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk 10 to 12 slices white bread butter maple syrup or other syrup Preparation: Break eggs into a wide, shallow bowl or pie plate; beat lightly with a fork. Stir in sugar, salt, and milk. Over medium-low heat, heat griddle or skillet coated with a thin layer of butter or margarine. Place the bread slices, one at a time, into the bowl or plate, letting slices soak up egg mixture for a few seconds, then carefully turn to coat the other side. Soak/coat only as many slices as you will be cooking at one time. Transfer bread slices to griddle or skillet, heating slowly until bottom is golden brown. Turn and brown the other side. Serve French toast hot with butter and syrup.

Pizza Night!

1/2 kg chicken wings, tips removed
Marinade: Combine -
1/4 cup MAGGI Savor
1/3 cup MAGGI Chili Sauce
1/2 tsp paprika
6 tbsp maple syrup
salt and pepper
Cooking oil, as needed
1 tub 240g NESTLE Sour Cream

Marinate chicken wings in prepared marinade for at least 6 hours.
Heat oil and pan-fry chicken until browned and crisp.
Serve with hot sauce or NESTLE Sour Cream.
